Are the shapes the same between the years on Crx models?

Ive got someone interested in purchasing my '91 Si headlights, but he has an '89 HF. I believe they are all the same with USDM models, being plastic or glass...but the shapes and fitment are all the same as far as I know.

 

The headlights are the same but the mounting brackets are different. 88-89 are different than 90-91.

 

So the actual frame mounts are different and there is no way to mount the housing bracket from a '91 to an '89 front end? I thought the bolt holes are the same between the two.

Anyone have pics for comparison? Id hate to sell something that doesnt fit or wont work. The guy has a wrecked front end, and the '89 brackets were destroyed on his car.
