tps problem

Default tps problem

i have a 93 cx and i have an lsvtec in there.....now my question is y does the car run fine with the tps disconnected? while i was doing the swap i broke it so i got the tps from my sohc and replaced it.....now it runs with or witout....if i plug it in after a while of driving it will idle really lowabout 2 turn off....with the tps off it was idle around 600 rpm....im currently running a stock p28....

does it drive witht he tps disconnected??? hm

not sure if the sohc and dohc tps's are the same, sure you dont have tps and MAP crossed?

It will run fine, the ecu just doesn't use the signal from the MAP and your idle will change. I ran my car at the track with no TPS hooked up with no problem.

Did you adjust the tps within factory specs after you replaced it?

There's you're problem right there. adjust it to factory specs and your problem will be solved. Get a helm manual aka factory tech manual, it will show you how to adjust it.
