hey guys, man this crx driving me nuts, i've been trying to figure out why this happen. sometime when i drive or at idle, the main relay click twice in less then a second, and the rpm drops down between the two clicks. also when i accelerate it also clicks and the rpm revs up a little and when the main relay click again its normal. the car was running perfect for a few weeks after i installed it

its a 92 CX motor in a 91 CRX Si
obd1 converted (checked my wiring and nothing seem wrong)
I have 3 main relays and it does the same thing.
i clean out the IAC
not throwing any code at all.

what else can i check??

it happened to me like a month ago, i would drive the car and then the rpm would fall and the car would die. i would wait a bit and the car would startup fine. just change the main relay i change mine and it fixed the problem right away. My old relay it would click too

 

check your engine and battery grounds. If you have a bad ground that relay will make that clicking niose too. just check the battery ground and the ground on the thermostat housing, and also at the power steering pump.

just something to check before you spend the some 40 $$$ on the relay

also try cleaning the connections to the relay...
