Speedo Cable Questions
Hey guys, I only have like a week left to pass emissions and I know you need the speedo working to have it pass. I've been so busy trying to get everything else done that I forgot about that speedo cable that I broke. My questions.....
1. Are speedo cables easy to find for a CRX, like Advanced or AutoZone?
2. Is the install easy?, more explination would help.
3. Is there any alternative to a speedo cable, any digital device on the market to display actual speed?
Thanks guys,
Ryan

1. Install isn't too bad, its easy on the tranny side, not too sure about the gauge cluster side.
2. Call CSK or autozone, etc. They should have them in stock.
3. Since that's your vss, there's nothing else that can display vehicle speed.

installing the cable is easy. remove the rubber boot on the tranny side. there's a small C clip that retains the VSS in. remove and pull up on the VSS. It should come out. You'll need to remove the gauge cluster. the other end clips into the back of the cluster.
I have a used Speedo cable if you can't find one local.
