Default mpfi results...PLEASE HELP!!!

I just finished all of my wiring for my dpfi-mpfi swap......when I turned the key to on I got 19 or 20 flashes....also the person that sold me the mpfi parts gave me the ecu that was supposed to be from a 90 si...but it is a "pr5".....is this why I am getting these problem....becaause im using the wrong ecu?

Also when i started it ...it took a little while and when it did start it reved up really quickly and sounded a bit wierd as I shut it off quickly...

What could this be?

I *think* the pr5 is the sohc zc ecu...like from a jdm integra. I would think that it should work but you don't hear of them being used very often, so there might be a reason for that.
A PM6 would be the correct one for sure.

Are you saying it starts and immediately revs toward redline until you shut it off?
Did you remember to switch green/white and yellow/white wires on the TPS?

Could be a combo of the two outer TPS wires switched, and possibly the crank angle sensor (2 extra dizzy wires) are switched. The sensor would cause a very loppy idle.

Count the flashes properly, then report back.

Ok I just checked all of the wiring for TPS and crank pos. sensor except for the injector wiring but I triple checked that before. THe ecu flashes 19 short times...then 20...then 19..20.....and so on. Also when I tried my old DX ecu there were no flashes or engine light...however it ran like the firing order was messed which it isnt.

Also throttle is closed how it should be but it still want to rev by itself...also I dont think its in "limp Mode" as the engine revs passed 3K ...reved passed 4 until I shut it off.

c1; orange wire got replaced by blue/greem wire.
c2; white wire got replaced by blue/yellow

What could be going on....could it really be the ECU that is junk?

code 19 is lockup control solenoid for autotrans, there's your first problem. You got stuck with an automatic ecu.

20 is electric load detector.

I also think that because it revs by itself you have a vaccum leak somewhere.

did you adjust your throttle cable? if you didnt it could be the cause of your high idle.

....tried that......i am going to block off the diaphram right by the throtlle..maybe thats giving me the high reving.....as it really doesnt seem wiring related anymore..as the codes are not really there except for 20....and the wires all seem good after another inspection

ok I switched the vaccuum wires so the port on the back of the intake is going to the map..and the one on the thottle body is going to the purge solenoid on the right of the map.

Also I seem to have stopped getting spark and im not sure why this is....i took the plugs wires out andin the dark when i crank it there is no spark from any lead,,,,also I checked fuses(inside and the engine bay), i also just keep getting code 20 with my pm6...Im almost thinking that this high idle isnt wiring related...it could just be that diaghram off the tb so i blocked that off.....but i dont know if it works...as I have no spark now....main relay is fine as the fuel pump engages perfectly.....
