Default how big of tires can you go in a civic?

how big of tires can you go can u go on a 99 civic wihtout rubbing on the wheel well??

alright thanks cuz i was thinking of getting 215s and was wondering if it would rub or what not

With the right offset and rolled fenders you should be fine.

i recommend rolling your fenders if you're going to go that wide.

it depends on the size of wheel and offset, it also depends on what type of tire it is as well, some tires have a more square tread pattern (yoko a520), where as some tires have rounded tread pattern (pirelli p7000). so some 205 look more like 215, and vice versa

My bud runs 215/45 16 Azenis' on his ek but he has to have it a little high up in my opinion

just because you have a wider tire doesent mean your going to get better traction ... use the proper size tire for the wheel and you will be fine ...

yeah i had 215/45/16 falken azenis on my ek and it rubbed. i did have to raise my car a little bit to run those tires. Now that i have the 195 advan neovas i can lower it more. Are you planning on putting the 215's on a 15 or 16 inch rim??
