Clutch problems? WTF? Hydro tranny
ok this car is making me so mad...just got everything fixxed like a week ago and now it is acting up again...this one should be an easy fix though check it out
its a 99 gsr
the car wont go into gear while it is running, i know the clutch is old but it isnt slipping at all....i think this is some sort of master cylinder or slave cylinder problem? anyone know
i was driving and all of the sudden the car just like died on me in gear, i took the car out of gear and started it and it wont go into gear so the car id ideling and then i force it into gear and the car just shuts off....so i turn the car off put it in gear and start it and it freaking tries to die so you slip the clutch and it moves...but its extremely hard to get the car into the other gears going through the gearbox but at least it moves....
when u stop u have to turn the car off to get it back into gear to move it...what the hell?

Wearing thin & slipping isn't the only way for a clutch to fail.
Yours won't disengage. Sometimes that's a hydraulic problem, where you can fix it from outside. Have someone work the clutch pedal while you watch the slave cylinder push on the throw-out lever. It should move about 12 or 13 mm. If not, try bleeding it. If that doesn't work, maybe you need a new master or slave cylinder.
Sometimes it's a warped disk, so it still grabs even when you press the pedal down. Sometimes it's pieces broken off the disk or the pressure plate, wedged in so the clutch won't release. I've even heard of someone who had a broken throw-out lever...

does the pedal feel spongy?
from what your sayin it sound like a hydralic problem, even though your discription is vauge.
check the back side of you mastercylinder inside the car and see if its leaking then check the slave cylinder by peeling back the boot and working the clutch and looking for a leak.
