I'm in the process of repainting the engine bay of my eg. Before I start, do I need to prep the surface any different or use any kind of high temperature paint/primer than normal? Thanks.

 

i used like 3 cans of walmart brand primer..... but then for the final black coat i used like 700?degree engine paint to spray the whole thing..... a word of advice is due more then 1 final coat and maybe if there is any high temp clear.... ive already scratched off parts of the black when swapping the motor in
