i hate to burst your bubble, but exhaust and intake etc. really wont get you much power, the stock motor on the coupes isnt very mod responsive like its K and B series brothers... but there's always FI :D

but if you were only looking for sound/looks then theres a bunch of options.

i'm not to smart with parts for the EM2 (2001-2005 civic coupes) but i know that much.

some one else might be better help though.

good luck

you bought the wrong car if you wanna make it faster, exhaust intake header and all that might make you 5hp on it

Do you want loud and obnoxious or nice and quiet?

Not real loud, just a good growl. Any ideas?

Well, for a growl Im not too sure, this is a 1.7L 4 banger, not a V8. Maybe something like the GReddy EVO2. I have only ever heard it once and it wasnt too loud (on a turbo'ed car though) but sounded nice. I have the A'Pexi WS2 on my pretty much stock 1.6 and its quiet but sounds nice. Another really quiet one is the RS*R Ex-mag, but you seem to be looking for something a little more "audiable" than those.

greddy evo is always low deep toned at all rpms. which i dislike personally.

for a low profile growl, check out apexi world sport I/II, magnaflow's catback for your application, RSR ex mag, or the greddy SP. those are all oval canister street mufflers...which are the kinds of exhaust i like. all that fireball/n1/skunk2 doesnt cut it for me...too loud and get annoying eventually.

Yea I agree with what you saying. I like the WS/Ex-Mag/Magnaflow oval canister style mufflers too. From what I have heard they dont reallt growl much but IMO make a much more plesent sound.

I think if this guy is asking for that growl he might like the EVO2. Obviosuly its not a V8 sounds but it might be more what hes after.
