I need a compression tester for my 89 crx hf... Any suggestions on one that will fit good in the deep spark plug holes? or better yet if a local wants to come buy and use thiers and do it for me I'd be glad to throw a few bucks there way.....

 

$50 bucks at Sears for craftsman one in a case does the job fine for me.

....Then again so did the $14 dollar one at auto-junk-zone...

All the ones i've seen have a long enough hose to fit in through the hole, and have the proper thread/adapter to fit the plug hole. Actually works out well as then you can angle the gauge and it holds itself up so you can see it from inside the car while turning it over.

... i won't get into 'how' to do the test though... cuz i'll get flamed for one thing or another on that.

Little tip though, use lock tite on the adapter or else it might get stuck inside the head.

 

yea, mostlikely any that you are able to pick up will work for you. i use the snap on one. works great
