Default carb legal headers

I know dc sports header is carb legal. Are smsp, dtr, hytech, greddy, megan, and others also all legal?

I am looking to spend under 600 so i know smsp, dtr, and hytech are out of my price range but if i could find them used, i would buy it if they are carb legal?

The Greddy header is legal...

But your location says Wisconsin.. Unless the whole thing is a joke, then you don't even need to worry about carb legality anyway.

Also airmass/holly headers are carb legal.

Has wisconsin decided to make some new smog laws or something??

why not just settle for a DC sport? ya everyone has it but a header is a header. When compared to the Spoon, Toda, Comptech headers they all pretty much made the same power. DC sport being very close to the power output of the TOP dollar units

DC, Greddy, and Tanabe are CARB legal. They make good power with the right setup. But if you're gonna be spending money on those headers, why not just buy the JDM 4-1 ITR headers with the heat shield to cover. So if the cops eve pop your hood and look, IT STOCK!

does the jdm itr header make the same power as the dc and greddy?? Plus wont the 4-1 header be to low (I am going to lower my car as soon as i paint it)

EDIT: I just want to get a header for the most power per dollar value which i know is going to be either dc sports or greddy.

Personally I'd go with the JDM stock header, the heat shield looks nice and it doesn't hang too low, it's OEM.

Also, I don't know that Tanabe even makes headers in the US, so I highly doubt their legality in California. As a rectification to the earlier list of legal headers, though, I also remembered that Neuspeed makes a legal one.

DC Sports and for that matter, any header with a 2.0 inch collector for a GS-R is too restrictive....expletive CARB and get a 2.5" collector header and 2.5" exhaust

Not really. Most GSRs out there, that would kill torque and not really provide enough top end to make up for it. If he had cams, and/or needed to flow significantly more air, I can see having a 2.5" collector, but with just your basic daily driving i/h/e, I think it would be more of a hinderance than a help.

And yes, I realize I recommended the jdm 4-1 earlier. In retrospect I don't know why I did that.. unless he's actually planning on building his motor. In which case I recommended it because I'm a super internet psychic.

I think the other headers that you mentioned are not legal. I know greddy is not legal for sure.

http://www.modacar.com/product...DAHEA/

Modacar lists them as being legal, as does just about every other site selling them.

So do the greddy, dc sports and the jdm type r all make just about the exact same power? I am guessing that the greddy makes a little more than the dc and the dc makes a little more than the jdm 4-1 itr.

Please correct me if im wrong.

And also, how much does the jdm 4-1 itr cost and where can i get one from??? Im almost positive i probably cannot obtain one from my local acura dealership and if they did it would cost a fortune.

If it is cheaper I will probably just get that for now and get something better in 3-4 years when i build my motor. Probably a smsp.

DC, Greddy, Tanabe, and Comptech are all going give you more power the ITR ones, but as far as among themselves, that's all arguable.

You said you wanna spend less then 600. You can get a nice ceramic DC 4-2-1 for 300. Greddy is only like 20 or 30 more, and it's stainless steel. But I would go with DC myself.. they seem to be the 'IT' company when it comes to integra headres.

DONT BE A CHEAP ***!!

j/k.. but dont!

Does Tanabe even make headers here? The only ones that I've seen anybody have have been imported.
