Too many suspension noise
Hi guys,
i just bought a 99 civic hatchback and the car was lowered in a bad way (springs were cut to lower the car)...anyway i bought the car cause it was very clean in terms of chassis never went through any sort of accident repair and interior is marvellous....anway i wanted to ask where can i buy a complete suspension bushing kit and shock obserber hat rubber and stuff....etc well i wish i could explain it a better way since my english is bad i would say any rubber related parts i can fit on the upper/lower of both front and rear suspension to make the car squakes and noise reduced!
thanks in advance,
Km
Note: this kit i need is going on a stock OEM suspension all around! trying to fix this noise problem i have!

Try Energy Suspension for the bushings. Although I think their bushings are poly-urethane and will be a bit more squeaky. But if the springs are cut, you might want to look into replacing those.
I would look into whatever is causing those clunks and noises first; it may not be the bushings at all, in which case replacing all the bushings would be wasting money. Definitely replace those springs like Banzai said.
If it is in fact the bushings, you could always go with OEM bushings; you know that they will fit, and that they will work. However, now might also be a good time to look into new suspension parts, to replace the older stuff already on the car.

am definatly gonna replace the springs for sure, but all that load on a long OEM sock obserber could even cause a bad shock obserber right? even thoguh i dont see it leak in any sort of way yet! but i'll feel more comfortable to replace the bushings of the chassis/suspension if there is a complete pakcage....is there? this is what am gonna first:
*stock springs (from the scrap yard)
and if it doesnt help gonna get:
*full chassis/suspension bushing kit (OEM is exactly what am interetsed in,but whome on here can get em for me since they are expensive where i live?)

Usually the coilover sets like that will include all the necessary parts needed to replace your stock set. So that would include the entire upper mount assembly (washers, rubber bushing, nuts, etc). Most, if not all, aftermarket LCA's will come with their own bushings.
OEM parts you can get from the dealer as long as you know stock numbers (some parts departments are amazingly unknowledgable regarding their own parts), but yes it can get expensive, to the point where aftermarket parts might offer more benefit/$. Its up to you I guess, take your time cross-shoping.

I'm assuming the noise is from the metal coils rubbing on the metal shock mounts? That is what you seem to be asking for, which is what a ricer would take out to help drop the car another 1/4".
As for the bushings - new Honda OEM parts would be the best 'anti-squeek' bushings, being rubber meant to last 100k worry-free. Not cheap though. The ES bushings will be much cheaper, but if you don't pre-lube them properly before install (or don't get the black ones) you'll be dealing with a crapload of more squeeks. You should also reconsider if you really need new bushings - they can be a bitch to get out if you haven't done it before.
If you are trying to decide if the shocks are blown, you won't necessarily see fluid leaking. The rear shock I replaced that was blown felt like a trombone - shaft sliped in and out w/o any resistance. Chances are they're blown. I don't trust lowered shocks, which is why my car is in 4x4 mode until I get my shock mounts extended.
