Do I need this throttle cable bracket when swapping this mani onto a y7?
Also, since this is an auto mani with a three-wire IACV, do I still have to swap the throttle bodies?
well im sure some ppl didnt use it .. but i advise using it .. or getting it, whichever .. automatic Y8s and all Y7s(auto and manual) have 3 wire iacv
you have to use the throttle body that came with the y8 because the throttle rotor is facing the wrong direction, also I would like to see you drive your car without the throttle cable bracket
(yes you need it)

The y8 bracket doesn't work because the y7 has a different throttle cable, its hard to explain. I had to custom make my own bracket, that was the only downside to doing the conversion for me. Good luck.
Ive done this once, and to my knowledge you have to use the y8 throttle bracket, but if you use the y8 throttle bracket you might need the y8 throttle cable, I can't remember if my buddy had that or not, I believe he did.... But if you don't have it you can use a z6 bracket and your stock throttle cable.... Don't quote me on that, that's what I've heard of other people doing....
D16Y8 throttle cable bracket Part # 16411-P2J-000
you could re-use your Y7 TB but you have to swap the TB Spring and Rotor from a Y8 or i guess any TB that ain't a down-draft one just like the Y7.

I second that, you do need the Y8 throttle bracket for sure. I found out the hard way (missed a day of work cause Honda didn't have it in stock).
When I did a y8 gsr throttle body swap I kinda made my own. Kinda jerry rigged and I have been meaning to find out what others did to solve this. I may go back and make another bracket but the one I have now is kinda ghetto.
