Whicn one is better...I just got a single zc...but i read in other posts that the z6 is better....but why....

and i had another question....since z6 polls vtec...from what i know...not sure....
if i put vtec on a zc....would it poll even more..and is it worth it....

i dont really know everything..but i know some stuff..i'm just not sure about that...
but i just thought since zc's dont pull vtec.....and their about as fast as d6s and y8s...and they have vtec....then a zc with vtec..will definitely take out any other d-series engine...
what do you guys think

a non-vtec single cam ZC is just like a d16a6. the cam is very slightly different, and it depends if it was originally carburated or fuel injected.

any single cam vtec engine is going to produce more horsepower stock.

 

i have a sohc zc.. its a lil better than the a6.. the z6 is pretty good...a lot of people have used it for turbo builds .. and they usually transfer some of the parts from the y8, like the intake mani, because the y8 has bigger mani and more flow.. im pretty sure that if u check out http://www.d-series.org it will help u a lil more

In my opinion get a sohc zc vtec its the best i have that and i love it. ive had other d16 and i love my new sohc zc vtec

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the ZC Vtec the same thing as a D16Z6?

 

d16z6 cause parts are easier to find....
