dc gsr or da turbo ?
i am planning on spending around 8k on a teg but i can not decided if i rather have a gsr or get a da and turbo it and also do suspension, could i turbo a gsr for 8k and have some suspension or would it be better to get a shop to build me a da and turbo it and havew good suspension.
DA's look better and they are less numerous because of that crossmember.
for 8 k u can ( a gen2 with 150k on it in nice conditon) (engine doesnt matter if u swap it)
build ur turbo kit
buy a b17/b16
build the b17/16
lower it
and have a 300+whp car that looks better than any g3

i would probaly just build the ls motor and have money left over for suspension

Save as much money as you can. Go with a LS/T build. I would give mad props to that build not only because it is unique, but then you could have the pride to say "VTEC this, bitch"

the hell you going to boost a b16 for? even if its built, its a 1.6 and it cost twice the price of a JDM LS. You can either build the engine you have in the DA or buy a fresh JDM LS. expletive the B16. Boost LS will always produce more power than a b16 if everything is all identically built and the LS will cost less because the LS cost less to start out with.

how much would the average shop expect for rebuilding my motor for turbo (with turbo cams) and setting up the turbo and the fuel management, is there anyway to get by with just a safc for management ? i am planing to spend around 8k i would think i could get an impressive motor setup built professionally by a shop and still have money for some suspension and other things
ps: will be my first built car
thanks for any input

i think if you are using the car as a dd get a gsr first and use the extra money for suspension and other minor mods. then save up for turbo and boost it.
if you have another car to drive around for awhile get the DA and build the whole car.
but in the end, it's all up to you. which one do you think looks better? which one is more comfortable? you can make decent power with both cars turbo or n/a.

i was planing on building all at once i like the idea of a turboed da with nice suspension but i am afraid because turbo setups scare and confuse me
and i dont understand them

for $8k you can get a DA fully built for turbo. i'm not sure how much money, if any, you'll have left over though. depends on what kinda parts, tuning, installation and etc. you get. check the forced induction forum. they can probably help you out alot more. you will want a better fuel management for sure, no safc. lots of tuning too.
