15X7 steel rear, aluminum front and a few other questions
I did search on steel wheels and just came up with 3 pages of for sale adds, I have found a few links here and there to wheel places which helped alot, so if any of this was covered already, please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

EG8 with teg front and rear disc. 600#F\500#R springs. Double duty car(RR,DD)
For the rear I was thinking Diamond Racing Pro series steels-
http://www.diamondracingwheels.com/ProSeries.htm
19#s each, 57.00 bucks each
195 tire out back
For the front I was thinking Circle racing 15X7 aluminum wheels, close in design to the DR pro series, but made of aluminum-
http://www.circleracing.com/Me...de=rr
12#s each, 230.00 each
205 tire up front
Now the reason behind running the steels out back and the aluminums in front, is the fact that I am new to this RR stuff and figure on slide outs the rears would take the most damage, the cheaper, stronger the wheel the better. If I am wrong in my thinking please correct me.
Now for the questions-
1) Would this be a good setup for a beginner, or should I go all steel?
2)I have never ordered this type of wheel before, but I know I want hub centric for ease of balancing, but what offset\back space should I order?(dont want them buried in the fenders, prefer flush with fenders or a tad out is OK too)
3)Has anyone tried mounting hub caps to this type of wheel?(for the DD)
I guess thats it, look forward to any info anyone has.

IM sent.... your questions open up a whole can of worms.... so I figured responding to you quietly may be best.

Answered, best I could anyway.

imho, just get some inexpensive alloy wheels like the ones from Rota and put matching wheels and tires on both ends. just starting out you don't need to invest energy in figuring out back spacing and different tire sizes. make it as simple as possible and focus on learning everything about driving and car setup that you can. gl
