I have a 90 DX hatch.... dpfi - mpfi swap (two injectors running on the harness, two of them run seperately through the fire wall, obd0 injectors with resistor) and a z6 (conversion harness etc). Can anyone think of a reason the car would be "blowing up" dizzy's? I had one run for about a total of one hour and then just go dead.

If there are ground issues or wiring issues then which part of the Distributor woudl die? (my guess is the ignitor) and how the **bleep** do you fix the problem?

Anyone else have this happen?

 

are you using the same OBD dizzy as your ECU? i.e. OBD1 dizzy with OBD1 ECU or OBD0 dizzy with OBD0 ECU?

 

OBD1 dizzy... everything was out of the same car.

**EDIT** it was the Coil... simple but effective.
