Stiff engine mounts causing dist. problems?
Is anyone else having an issue using HASport mounts causing their Rotor button screw to come out? I have had this happen about 4 times now, on three different distributors. Each time the screw has been cranked down and everything is new. I can't figure any other reason why this would happen...
We use HaSport mounts in all the swaps that we have done. We have not run accross this in the years that we have run with the mounts.
Even on the race car with the hardest urathane, no issues; even with a few different cars and very, very used dizzy. Running 11 beating up the car, ripping out welds-yet have run across that.
You said you have tried new dizzy -how about a new screw/bolt. Maybe even a new one from the dealer?
Good luck.

If this is done, make sure to only use a small dab as suggested. The new screw from the dealer has a thread stop on it already. This seems to never get frozen. I have seen people in the past use too much thread lock themselves and not be able to get the button off in the future.

I have not, and will not use loctite on it. I have tried 2 new screws and it is still happening. I don't know what is going on.
