Default 2002 Accord engine reving

My 2002 v6 accord keeps reving its engine when it is in 'Park' or 'Nuetral' any ideas why and how to fix it???

does it only do it when its really really cold, and the car is just starting?

do you mean your car is idling at high rpms? if so, check your honda manual (not sure what they include in those 2002 manuals) but you could always take it to the dealership and have it checked out, why i say this is because on almost every car ive been into theres always a Throttle Valve that you can adjust your cars idling rpms.

could be a possibility, alot of things could, if those two dont seem to be the problem, check your ground wires for any bad connections

i found out what the problem whats... it was a computer malfunction, the 'firewall' was fucked up nothing i could do about that... so i took it to the dealer

any info about what was wrong with the firewall? id like to know cause ive never thought about that before, interesting. but anyways, nice to see that you took it to the dealership, good choice
