is this RSX worth $9200 drive out? frame damage?
this is the RSX my friend might buy. It's already fixed up, but these are pics b4 it was fixed. All the gaps aren't exactly lined up, which is expected after a salvaged car, but overall it still looks okae. The car has 43k on it and they are asking $9200 drive out. Do you guys think there was frame damage in the accident? thanks

it has a salvage title because of the pics i showed up there, so i know what the car has been through. I just want to know if you guys think the wreck from above has frame damage.
This is what I would do. Go to edmunds.com and see what the same car is selling for in regular average condition with the same miles. Then I would consider paying about half of that number for this car, just the car then add in taxes and stuff. This is how I have considered buying salvage title cars because at some point you are going to want to sell it or trade it and you want to make sure you bought it right so you dont get killed when you get rid of it.
The damage didnt look very bad in the pics, just spread about the entire car. I would be bothered by the gaps if they are visible to the naked eye, but that is just me. I know some guys wouldnt give that a second thought. If the car drove ok (I would for sure get it checked out) and the price is right I would I give strong consideration to buying it.

Looks like that car's been rolled. Notice the sheet metal damage on both sides, both mirrors broken off, and cracks at the top of the windshield.
It probably doesn't have "frame damage", but that's because it's a unibody car and it doesn't have a frame. A unibody car's shell is its frame... a bit like an egg. It's strong if it's not damaged. This car is most definitely damaged and weakened. A bodyshop could make it look right, but it won't ever be as good as an undamaged car.
