what Ground-Control spring rates for my set-up
I'm looking to see what rates i should get for my 1999 Acura 1.6EL (canadian only, civic sedan basically)
I will be using Koni Yellows with these GC springs
I have a 22mm CTR rear sway bar so i don't want like 400F/500R cause this car is a daily driver that will see some auto-x in the spring. Suspension will only be on from March to late Oct then we get snow or cold *** temps, so i go back to stock.
I'm thinking either 400F/350R or 450F/400R but i don't want to stiff. My only springs i've used were H&R Sports which are supposedly 330F/280R but progressive, these were matched with Tokico Illumina. The GC will be matched with Koni Yellows.
what rates do you guys think for a 2600lb car that already has a 22mm rear sway bar installed (with Beaks kit)

I'm running Koni's with 450 front, 400 rear with ITR 22mm rear sway (and beaks) on my 99 Civic coupe. It's a little harsh on some rough roads but it's not that bad at all. I really like the feel of it on the road, but I haven't pushed it much yet. I'll leave that for the track

your not going to get anything thats perfect like you looking for unless you spend alot of time trying different rates. Even then if you still developing your skills as you push the car harder it can change what it is doing.
FYI i run 700f no bar 800r 22mm rear bar. 3 or 4 track days and it was great alittle loose but thats what i was going for. As i started to get more comfetable with the car, and how hard i could push it the more the car had a tendancy to understeer.
Nothing changed with the car, it was just the fact that i, as a driver, am/was getting fast, and smoother.
This past weekend i started getting on the gas much sooner then previously, and improved on all others, and being super smooth and the car started to understeer. I wasn't doing anything wrong, but i was getting away from bad habbits.
