Default Help - Check Engine Light - Blink Codes?

2nd day in a row the Wagovan has thrown the CEL... Rolling down the highway in 4th gear and it shifts into overdrive (its an auto, and does it even have OD???) no problem..

5 minutes later, the car shifts OUT of overdrive and back into 4th and the CEL pops on. What could it be?

Also, what is the procedure for checking the blink code, I'm assuming, since its OBD0? Thanks for the help?

peel back passenger's side carpeting by the feet

count how many times the light blinks on the ECU.

Anyone else would tell you to search but I happen to have them handy.

I did search for like 5 different criteria, nothing popped up that was handy. I dislike Zeroforums search.

Thanks for the picture though!

EDIT: Will I still show a blink code even if the code shuts off after a restart?

Nice.

But if I previously threw a CEL, and it is OFF now, will the ECU still blink? Or will I have to wait for the CEL to go on again to check the code?
