Default light scratches on black paint... good way to buff em out?

my black teg has some light scratches and i wanted to know how i could buff em out! what chemical agents work best? will it ruin the paint? what materials would i need to do this?

i hear meguiars was a good brand to use... but i know there are lots of other "scratch removers" out there. i just didnt want to use the wrong one and ruin my paint or cause it to fade faster.

try a good rubbing compound. then polish it off with some polisher. Then top it off with some wax.

on this topic, my black gsr is starting to get some white spots on the roof.. as if its fading.. over the past 6 months its gotten progressively worse

anybody know what the cause could be?.. or a fix? (short of a respray)

i polish / wax the car often, although its usually parked in the sun.

First use a 3m heavy duty compound, then 3m micro compound I have found works the best, I use a buffer on a low setting with a soft black 3m foam pad, then use a glaze to finish with buffer on low speed and then use a good carnubia wax. You may need to find a auto paint store to get 3m's heavy and micro compound. I have used this on many black cars. Be careful around edges you can burn paint off, practice on sosme flat surfaces first.
