Car accident (Pics)Do you think his insurance will pay for my whole car to be painted?
Well i was in a parking structure trying to find a parking spot and this idiot backs into me at 10mph.... I don't think the body shop will be able to color match my paint b/c it is aftermarket....If i don't like their attempt to color match do you think i will have the option to repaint the whole car the same color?

depends on how your insurance works. if they send one of their own guys out to appraise the car then most likely they will only pay for the damage involved. if they are OK with you getting appraised by your own vendor, then you can just have them include the cost of entire car paint job in the appraisal price. but most likely i think they will only pay for the damage whether it matches the car or not
hmmm......i wonder how much $$ they would give me for this much damage. The rear quarter panel if f*cked and so is the door.

yeah everything that was involved in the accident + injuries to you. its like if you get rear ended in an integra, they arent going to fund you getting a new JDM front for example. but it all depends on who the insurance company allows you to get appraised by. most likely they will send one of their guys to you or have you drop off your car at one of their preferred body shops. this is just to ensure insurance fraud doesnt occur. you might be able to get a discount though thru the shop you are getting it fixed by to paint the whole car

that's alot of damage...sux man...but i have good news, most body shops use this color match software that nails it 99% of the time
There is no way that your insurance will pay to have the WHOLE car repainted. You can opt for the repair money to be signed in your name so you can shop around and ask bodyshops if they can repaint your car for "x" amount.

they accually have this pimp *** camera that the take a picture of your paint with and it tell them what colors to udse including pearls and such.
well if they send me a decent size check I will have a body shop repair the rear quarter and have the whole car painted. I can do the prep. work.
If you take your car to a reputable body shop, and the color doesn't match to your liking, take it up with the body shop. They will take it up with insurance and if it really doesn't match, they should repaint the rest of the car for you free of charge. I've seen it done a couple of times at the shop I used to work for.
