we just recently changed my buddy's headgasket on his gsr motor. when we started it up, it would idle normal, but once we open the throttle up a lil bit, then the engine would start idling from 2 to 3k rpm, and repeat itself...do you guys think maybe the timing belt jumped a tooth while we were putting it back on?
If so, how do i go about fixing this? thx. Also, about the idling problem, it was doing it before also. but it would stop after the engine gets warm. but now, it's just constantly doing it. and it has an AEBS manifold. maybe one of the lines are mixed up? we already changed the PCV valve, so that's not an issue right now.

check all the timing belt and timing, look for some vacuume leak or something...the car will not idle correctly if the timing belt is off by 1-2 tooth...
