Default civic front disc conversion

i looked in the archives and could not find anything on the subject. i know you can do the rear disc conversion for an EF with the DA rear discs but i was wondering if you could put the front discs from a DA onto an Ef? and even if you could, would it be worth it?

no offense to jonathan, but i'm not real fond of using the wheel spacers. and its much easier to must swap out the entire knuckle than modify, test fit, modify, test fit, etc.

Yes is it worth it. I have the 4Dr 90-91 EX Knuckles with the Prelude rotor and the ITR/Accord Wagon calipers and a 260V Integra booster and MC. If it is a DD then it is probably going to be overkill. They do feel so nice though. You can use the DA kunckles as long as you are lowered.

WTF are you talking about?

I have 4dr 90-91 ex knuckles and calipers that i'm gonna swap onto my car after i get new wheel bearings for them. What is the difference in Calipers between ITR and the ex calipers? Also what is the differance between EX Rotors and Prelude Rotors?

Thanks

Yes the EX knuckles will be an upgrade for you. The EX rotors are only a 10.X" rotor where the Prelude's are 11". The ITR caliper is bigger than the EX caliper. If you are looking for just a nice street setup I would just do the full EX in the front...I RR my car that is why I put the bigger brakes on it. Also you don't have to, but I would suggest getting the 15/16MC from the EX (it will bolt right to your booster and you won't have to worry about moving lines around) also to give you a little bigger MC over your current MC.

Don't worry I planned on the brake upgrade and put in the 15/16 master cylinder before i swapped the motor.
Thanks for the help.

i have seen on h-t that when you swap the rear discs, the wheels in the back come out of the fender like a quarter of an inch sometimes. would this happen on front also if you did the front discs?

If they stick out someone probably didn't do it correctly and no the front wheels won't stick out further.
