Default pm6 with pm7 mapped chip

Well, having no luck finding someone willing to part with a PM7, the only other option I see is chipping the PM6 ecu. Does anyone have any experience with a chipped PM6 to run PM7 map? Does this even exist?

I'd rather not use a PG7 as it will not be optimal for the DOHC ZC.

Anyone have any input?

talk to someone like xenocron or kenji. they can do it for you. i think those ecu's are in the same family so the pinout on the ecu should be the same. i believe a remap will work just fine.

my buddy nelsmar did one, and it is night and day difference from the pm6. Message him for info.

(I borrowed it and went for a joyride and gave it back as he was not willing to part with it, but it was still amazing nonetheless. If I had the money I'd have him actually build one for me too.)

It is most definitely possible, in fact I've heard of a lot of people that get it done. And it is in the same family as the pm7, so the chip will definitely fit right in. I've got a chipped pm6, though I haven't really had a chance to try it out yet due to a HUGE delay in my swap project. But supposedly the guy that was using it had a ZCed rex with I/H/E and was running low 15's with a virgin pm6 and was then running high 14's as soon as he got the pm6 chipped. Just FYI
