I think i overfilled my tranny fluid.. would this cause a leak?

Default I think i overfilled my tranny fluid.. would this cause a leak?

I changed my tranny fluid today. and i put in some Synchromesh. Now if i over filled it would it cause a slight leak?

if you over fill it, it will leak out slowly, might even make a little smoke. or so it says in my haynes manual for my b16 tranny.

how would it smoke? would tranny fluid get into the combustion chamber???

ok cause i didnt lay down a pan when i was filling up and the hose was the exact fit for the hole. and as soon as i pulled it ou fluid started pouring all over my floor.. so i hurried and threw the plug in and i took it for a drive and when i parked it there was a nickle sized puddle under the tranny after i parked it

that could also be from the oil you already dripped on the side of the trans. I don't think it will leak because the transmission is pressurized or anything it just splashes around on the gears and what not or there completely submerged.

im not sure what tranny you got in there, but on my 93 dx theres 2 holes, a filler hole and a drain hole. you fill it until fluid starts to run out of the filler hole. As far as smoke, i dont see that as a possibility considering we are talking about a tranny here.
