Default help me buy my integra ls!

hey guys, im new to the hondacura family/honda-tech forum. i am about to make my first purchase from a friend, which is a silver 2000 integra ls.

-its a canadian integra and im wondering if there is anything thats different between usdm and cdm integ?
-my friends are telling me to convert the miles on the odometer from km to mi, which is considerably less...but i need a diff opinion.

heres the specs:

stock ls motor
+car has 143,000+ km (approx. 88,000+ mi)
+cig smoke smell interior
+JVC headunit, w. amp and aftermarket speakers
+exhuast
+lowered, with 17" rims
+dents in the side door and one on trunk lid, with major scrapes on the front bumper
+antenna might be broken

alright everyone,

finally got pics of the car.

You could get a mint LS with less miles for that price.

no you cant your post goes to show that you know nothing

Its not worth what he is asking bargain him down, or go look in autotrader.

MINT LS with 88 K should be about 7-8 G

Don't buy it.

You will have to do the timing belt & water pump in 2,000 miles too. And yes, you can buy a mint LS for $6k - but with more miles. Do you really want a car w/ a lot of cosmetic/body damage? (and smells like an ashtray) - just wait and find a better one. For $6k you could buy a nice '94-'97 GSR.

Yea, it sucks how long it may take. I waited a year before I found the one I wanted & ended up buying. I did have a DA (2nd Gen teg) at the time, so the wait wasn't so bad. In the end you'll be glad you waited.

Just look everywhere posible to see all the different price ranges of integs like
GSR's 95-00
LS's 95-00

Then compair miles , cleaness , body dmg interior dmg and so on .. ull find some LS's in good shape going for as much as some GSRs cuz of small differences

I looked everywhere i could b4 i got my car online/news paper/ auto locator and so on. .. and got a 98 GSR with 118k miles perfect interior and nice glossey paint with a few small non-noticeable "dings" and only CAI , all the paper work since the car was bought , 2 spare tires (for the rims) repair manual and a few other small things for 7.3k Im so glad i didnt settle for other cars i found for less money but needed alittle work , dont just settle ! keep up the search and post when you find her

Keep in mind that Different states cars will be more valuble, My LS I got for 7200 with 80 K on it and its a 98 the reason its spendy is because its an Oregon car since day one, NO rust and plus integras are spendy around here.

k well heres the deal..my friend was originally asking like 8-9..but i said i can only afford 6k firm. so she said alright.

the body has dents and scratches in it. the dents are like a quarter piece and a hlaf dollar.

the car already has some mods, which could save me some money. pay to get the dents/scratches fixed... or i can choose to go with autotrader with about the same miles 80,000 with a cleaner body, thats bone stock--& no wing $7200 - $7500(btw, i have no money for mods).

im literally driving myself into the asylum deciding. keep the comments comin..i value and appreciate ALL.

If your friend found an 00 GS-R with only 60K miles and for $5500, then he got one hell of a deal. I do not think you can judge the fairness of the LS deal with the steal that your buddy got.

Deals like those occurs once in a blue moon. I have been browsing Craigslist non stop for 2 weeks and the closest GS-R around $5500 that is 98+ was a 98 GS-R with 77K miles and SALVAGED asking $6500

Default new dilemma

damnit...i need help..now friend is not willing to fix scratched up bumper (w. deep scratches) or small dents in the car. the car also has small scratches. 6k firm.

there are cars like this on autotrader.com $7500. doubt their willing to go to $6k:

http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp....st=22

i also dont have any money for mods, and my friends integ already has them..exhaust, headunit, lowering springs, rims, tires..is it expensive to buy a new bumper and have it painted? is it expensive to get small dents pulled out?

help!

btw..ive searched the fs: section, and it seems everyone has dibs on the bumpers already...
