I was able to find budget 15x8's. Cast aluminum, +25 offset, very cheap. The downside is they are 5x4.5" only. I will post pictures tonight, and maybe offer a prize to the first person who can guess what company makes them.

+25 and 5x4.5" = no Honda whatsoever, so what good is it to us?

um....isn't ITR 5x114? and for 8" wide rim 25 offset would seem doable....with the right fender.

114 = 4.5"? My bad then. +25 still seems...overly difficult.

Yeah ok fine, but if you're looking for a 15x8 for a few bills, you're obviously not shooting for pole position anyway. So the few extra pounds aren't that big of a deal. Heck someone was running steel 15x9's without problems. Anyway these are like 17lbs.

at some point more weight has to negate the advantage of a wider wheel though. Will you be faster running heavy 15x8's than you would running much lighter 15x7's?

Well, I think choosing the optimum tire size should take priority over wheel width. If you look at some popular offerings, the only size that gives decent footprint width without sacrificing gearing is 225/45-15. It's actually a bit shorter than a 205/50-15 so you get even better gearing with the 225/45. A wider tire obviously weighs more than a narrower tire but yet everyone is trying to run the widest they can. The same should apply to the wheel. It's not that much heavier and the wider tire with increased track width is more than enough to compensate for the increased unsprung weight within reason, so it should be a net gain in ultimate grip (can't say the same for bump steer though).

Yeah I looked at the wheels with the stamped steel faces but that design just doesn't provide any caliper clearance (I tried some from summitracing and had to return them). Even with these OEM 15x8 wheels I had to grind the caliper down a couple mm.

Ok fine so not many of you care. They're Jeep Wrangler Ravine wheels that I scored off ebay. It had the right width and offset and bolt pattern so I bought 'em! Some photos... To my surprise I didn't have fender clearance problems, my guess is inadequate compression travel.

Nice. Kinda wide, but as long as you're not going to rub, hope it all works out. Looks mean with the ese stance

Interesting.

Can't say I see too many Accord track toys, but with that setup you'll certainly have fun!

Off topic but you have a low-hanging loose wire or cable under the car just waiting to get snagged on something:

Looks like a job for a few zip-ties

You had to grind a mm off of your caliper to get the wheels to fit?
