Hey guys i want to know if anyone is running stock valve springs w/ a stage 1 camshaft(s)? Cause i'm thinking of buying one. But i'm not too sure about my valve springs cause i don't know whether they could open enough w/ the aftermarket cam. Or close fast enough. By the way my engine has about 166k miles on it.

 

why risk it?

 

well you can run crower stage 1's w/o upgrading anything but it is risky and you might break something

i mean you are already in the head, might as well upgradge and do it right

 

Yeah, but if i do, and risk it w/out valve springs, how long do you guys think it'll last? I mean from experience if anyone has done this setup stage 1 cam w/stock valve springs. And what will be a good valve adjustment, like specs for the stage 1?

 

ive got S2S1 cams with stock valvetrain, been goin fine for about a year...
