Just wondering how i could go about putting body filler on a rusted quarter panel. do i shape the whole thing? do i put the rust out or scrape it or what??any particular process??

The best way would be to cut out ALL of the rusted out parts and reweld on a new sheet metal. Or you can buy replacement rear quarter panels and have them welded in.

 

the only way I've ever done...
cut the metal about 1-2" around the rust till all the rust is gone.
Then weld in new metal, shape it till you need minimal bondo, bondo, sand smooth, prime, wetsand, and paint.

 

do you have a diy or any pictures that show the whole process? what about the wheel wells' rusty corners? is it done the same way?

Anyone ever use JB weld on stuff like this? Not sure how it would hold up..
