I have a 97 LX coupe, the exterior is good but nothing is done under the hood should i work with the motor that is in the vheicle now or try for a swap (to run low 14's to mid 13's) pretty sure its a 1.6, i know its a non-v-tech any suggestions??

You're correct. They didn't make LX coupes until 2001.

 

you know my suggestion is to get a swap. if you wants to run mid 13s get a b18c5 a type r motor and super charge it. it should get you the time you want! good luck

 

Sedan sorry - it is a door thanks guys, i was also considering the H22A what does anyone think, i heard its a hard swap...

h22 is one of the most expencive and hardest swaps to do.

i would go b-series if i were you.

 

im not to familiar with the b-series motors ive been concentrating on the H22 and K20, what are some things i should consider about the b-series motors before choosing the right motor.

 

first of all for the money a k20 swap cost u can build one hell of a b-series.

just look up specs for all b-series online there is a post at the top of the 90-00 Civic / Del Sol page that explains them very good.

i you were gona spend all that money on a h22 or a k20 i would go with a b18c and put the money left over to boost it

 

K series all the way.
