Default EF don't like warm weather

My Civic doesn't like the warm weather for some reason. I have had two different motors in it since I've owned it and it has done it with both of them. The problem is, if I let it sit and idle for a few mintues, like after driving it for a while, it will idle high after the next time I give it gas. And sometimes it will do the up and down idle thing. If I let it sit longer after it has done this and then give it gas again it will idle even higher. I stopped at a couple places this morning and left it running and by the time I got to work it was idling at 3k. The only parts that are related to the motor that were on before are the distributor, radiator and computer. The car runs perfect when it is cold out this is only when it's warm outside. Any ideas cause I don't have any. BTW this is a DX with a DX motor in it.

well my guess would be that its either the radiator or the computer. either radiator isnt giving enough cool air to the motor and the computer compensates by giving it more fuel to cool it down. or it is the computer and it thinks that the motor is warm and it needs more fuel. in my opinoin it is the radiator. and just for a lil bit of information that you prob already knew but every car runs better when its cold outside.

Well by running better when it's cold out I meant that it runs right, the way that it should run not power wise. It's a slow piece of poo no matter what the weather is. Thanks for the info though.
