Default Ulev engive swap for K series engine

I have a 02 ULEV Honda engine 2.3L vtech 4 with 35,000 miles on it and I am hoping to swap for a k series engine any miles will do, but would like around the same. May also trade with cash involved. If you want any more information let me know

I would hope, at some time you'd tell us what is the displacement of this ULEV engine. 2.2, 2.3, etc.

Well then do you have a K series engine all I know is I want power and I know that the ULEV isn't going to put out anything near what I want it to in the end.....

K series will put out more torque stock than the F would plus its more modifiable and will produce more power. If you get a TSX block, all you have to do is intake, header, and adjust VTC mechanism by cutting some more out, and tune the combo and you'll be putting out 170 torque 200hp at the wheels and at the LEAST.

You'd want a K24....

Accord/Element K24 w/ tranny, i'd say around 1200 or so.

TSX (the best) with tranny- 1500-2000.

The mother of all....

TSX motor w/ RSX-S tranny 2000-2250

I havent researched a lot but I've definitely kept my eyes open for TSX engines...

how much do you think I could get for my motor? best possible case that I sell it to a mother who just wants fuel effinciency... Yeah that would be the best case senario. Anyway get back to me and let me know.

I'd say 500 or so, depends on the age and mileage.

Go and buy another car that would be the easiest way to be fast.

engine is 2 and a 1/2 years old and has 35,000 miles on it and you are probably right that would be the fastes way to be fast, but I kinda fell in love with my car so, I am keeping this baby.

You really dont have to do that. If you take a TSX engine, port and polish the head, and mate it to an RSX-S or similar tranny, you'll be making comparable numbers at a much less expensive cost (and more reliable since it was designed that way and you're not piecing things together).

i havent seen any K20a heads available, just the engines, from hmotorsonline, for maybe 5-6 grand, and a 20 wont have enough power to move the accord around as fast as you'd like, the 24 has the torque necessary to do it.

keep in mind the k20-r is in the Accord Euro-R...it makes as much torque as the old H22a7's

The thing is a TSX engine puts down 20 less hp, yet 20 more ft/lbs of torque, it's up to you really, but I like torque because hondas dont have it.

hmotorsonline.com is a good source, but since they only have one K (JDM ITR) I'd go to haprecycling.com or join k20a.org looking for one

your engine is a 2.3 VTEC with 35k miles, you shouldnt have that much trouble finding someone to take it off your hands for a reasonable price.

alot of torque? that's a new concept for honda driver.

the fact that your f23a4 is ULEV have nothing to do with how much power it crank out, just to let you know the k24 you looking for is ULEV.
