My axle pops out of the tranny leaking oil all over. I really don't know why.
I took out the axle and changed the lock ring at the end and it still does it. The car shakes when I accel and when it gets to 60mph it shakes hard up to 83mph. Could the axle itself be bad or could something be wrong with the tranny.Why does it pop out. Also when the axle pops out the car can still drive & drives SMOOTH NO SHAKING AT ALL The car is a 92 HB Si w/ Full B16 swap.

Just looking for some info on if this ever happened to anyone. I'm gonna change the axle tommorow morning. Really hoping its not the tranny.

is the snap ring clicking when u put it in the tranny?

 

Check the teeth on the axles. If they're fine, it might be your tranny.

 

make sure you have the correct axles for you tranny...

 

i don't mean to jack you tread but i am having the same problem. i have a 1997 civic ex with a gsr motor and ls lsd tranny. i got axles for a 00 civic si and the passenger side axle keeps popping out. i know it is seated in properly because i can feel it seat and snap in. i can't pull out the axle unless i have a pry bar but as soon as i get everything back together and lower the car, i turn the wheel and the axle pops out. wtf????? the old axle never did this. i replaced the axle because i shook during acceleration.
