Anyone recommend changing the Tranny fluid every 20,000 miles? I drive my car pretty hard since the drive to work is very fun. And of course I'll use Honda within specs oil.

go do it right now...takes 12 bucks, and 15minutes.

 

I use Red Line MTL. Smooooooooooooth.

20,000 is probably a little too often but hey, new fluids are cheap insurance.

 

i had honda mtf in my tranny and just recently changed it to 5w30 and its much smoother with the 5w30. honda mtf is a really thin oil. i would recomend 5w30 or 10w30 non synthetic. its cheaper too. so you could just change your tranny oil with every motor oil change.

I use Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil 75W-90

 

get the tranny flushed by a place like goodyear or the dealer and its like new, you can tell the differnce..
