lol 900 for an obd1 gsr engine? where can you get a LEGIT gsr engine with 40k on it for 1500? A usdm one. JDM is dirt cheap because they are harder to smog than usdm.

And that, sir, pretty much sums up why I will never buy anything used from private parties on H-T. Way to just outright say "Those numbers aren't good, I think I'll lie about my ****."

And 2 grand sounds about right, maybe a little bit low, could be closer to 2300 or 2400. I think CAD sells them for a few hundred more than that.

yes ive done a few in my lifetime....the normal longblocks you buy come with the engine harness altenator, dizzy, starter, sometime ps pump and ac comressor...your adding in mounts(15 buck a peice at the junkyard, ecu 100 bucks and axles....that might be busted. you might have the longblock all comeplete yes, but you still almost have 100k miles on the engine and compression that my ls beats and its stock(with bolt-ons). i was telling the guy i quoted that the prices hes talking about is for a SWAP not just a long block, so dont get pissy man, hell id only sell my complete ls change over for like 1200/w the mods.

you also have to put into account that the prices of the b-series engines are going to drop because they arent the only hot swap anymore

you also arent offering the warranty that most of these places offer....like hmo's 100% start-up warranty and they will replace anything that is broken.

Do a search on your average GSR compression numbers. Then stfu.

Wow so you would sell your LS engine for 1200, gee for that same price you can buy my gsr swap according to you, do you want to meet me half way! I dont like vtec, its too loud.

And it also depends on the compression tester that you are using, they all have different readouts just like dyno's are all different... i used a cheap autozone loan a tool : |

Also depends on how long you crank it for, i only cranked it 3 times i believe. You can crank any engine for 7 - 8 times to get higher readouts

maybe you should state that in your description then, a GSR engine should at least hit the 200 mark if its in somewhat decent shape. It has been a month since i've had to do compression test but i do believe youre supposed to crank 5 times.

I'm sorry, I forgot your LS tranny is highly sought after.

Seriously these LS owners are haters just because they are jealous, same ones that say GSR's suck because the Ls's have more torque, lol.

If the compression is above 180 on all cylinders and the numbers are all within 10 of eachother then its fine.
