Suspension Help???
I was wondering what the differences were in a 04 base rsx and a type s? I have Tein S Tech springs and my friends next door neighbor has the same type of springs, same size rims, and tires and his ride seems to sit lower, especially in the rear. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
There is really no explanation that I can come up with then, if in fact you both have S Tech's. Initially I though you may have just installed them and they haven't settled in yet but that is not the case.
Have you parked right next to each other on level ground and measured wheel gap? And are you sure you don't have Tein H tech's and he has S Tech's? Are your springs gold or green? And lastly does he definately have Tein Springs and not Tein coilovers?

i have s techs, they r green and i saw his tein box and it said s tech on it....i havent pulled next to him and got out and looked, but it just seems like a difference in the rear
I'm gonna wager the shock valving in the S is firmer, which is why one is sitting higher than the other.
Without knowing all the ins and outs of the stock RSX suspension, are the Base and S springs from the factory identical in every way?
There's also just a possibility of a tolerance issue. There is some variability to making them. The lot of wire that was used has properties that can alter their specified numbers and make one different from another.
