well, my cousin pays for his full insurance around $200 let say low $200 and he is the same age as you. but him and his dad was under the insurance. i think that the best way for you to get a cheap insurance put it under your dad... thats wat dad are for.....hahaha
well the way i understand it is that since my mother co signed, it has to be in my name..and my mother doesnt have insurance since she is under my step dads...and i dont think hes gonna go for me having on his plan...
or maybe im wrong who knows..
but im 18 and clear record..and so ive heard 350 and 200 so far.. so this is gonna prolly have to be in my name..

i never understood why people call it "full coverage"
There are minimum coverages, and then there is higher coverage. Two people could be identical in driving records, but one may carry higher limits on his/her insurance and cost them more per month.
If you are looking to 'cut corners' and save yourself in car insurance, find out what your state's minimum coverages are. Then, find out what would happen if you totalled your car with those minimum coverages on it also. You'd be surprised how raped you'd get.
That's my $0.02

you need to shop around, you'll find a better deal eventually

you're in WV, right?
you probably need at least 20/40/10 coverage..but if you are also going to need to get physical damage (comp/collision).. if you are getting a loan, you'll probably have to get $500 or maybe $1000 max. Most banks won't let you get a higher deductible.
check insweb or some of those comparative rate sites...
there are way way too many factors to think that person A is going to get the same rate as person B. it won't happen.
good luck!!!!

There are literally hundreds of statistics that each insurer uses to determine their rates for a specific driver. It's generally irrelevant to you what other S2000 owners pay for insurance. The only way for you to find out what various insurers would charge YOU to insure you drive your car is to call them up and get a quote. You can also do an internet search for sites that will allow to you get insurance quotes from multiple insurers simultaneously while filling out only one set of information forms.
I pay around $70/mo to insure my 2000 S2000 with full coverage and low $200 deductables. Of course, I have 2 other cars on my policy, and I drop all coverage but comprehensve on the S2000 for 3 months out of the year. So what I happen to pay is in no way relevent to what you would have to pay in insurance premiums.

IMO...not holding full coverage on an S2000 because you cant afford it kinda speaks towards whether you should own the car in the first place. If you cant afford the insurance, are you going to be able to afford to properly maintain it? And if not...are you going to be able to afford to BASICALLY maintain it? Not my business really but if you cant afford the full coverage on this car, perhaps it is not time for you to own it yet. Just a suggestion...nothing more.
As far as rates go...my rates would have no relevancy to what you'd pay for the same car...but just for ***** and giggles, when we had our 2004, we were paying $197/month for full coverge for both cars together, $250 deductibles with the highest coverge amounts available from Geico...im also 26 with no points or tickets on my license for over 7 years, my wife is 23 with a clean record for 4 years. I also have my home owners insurance through Geico which helps as well.
