accord temp coolant resistor boost hp how?
Just curious what the resistors are doing to boost horsepower when connected to the coolant switch on the honda accord engines. I thought about buying one on ebay but I am not sure if it actually will work or is it some type of scam or what?
Surprisingly, The only things I will buy from EBay is used items (cluster / switches etc). And everything else I look at with a jaundiced eye.
The only thing that a resistor inserted into the temp sensor circuit would do is fool the ECM into thinking the engine is at a different tempurature than it actually is, thus shifting the fuel curve. It's a band-aide approach at best, much like the most recent advertised "instant 35hp Increase" product out there.
