Default o2 sensors

When swapping in a b16 into a rex. how bad is it just to run one o2 sensor and splice the wire into both ecu pins?

I would think very bad as one is measuring air before the cat and the other after. The ECU is expecting to see a change from #1 02 to #2 02 as far as I know, but maybe someone else will know better.....

no, the obd0 b16a has 1 measuring the 1/4, and one for the 2/3 Its Bad, dont do that. Might as well run no o2's.

so then why would dc sport have the o2 sensor at the collector on the header. that just ends up reading all the cylinders. how would i deal with that to run two o2 sensors?

one option is to go OBD-1, or you could plug that hole, and get a different one welded up for the other two cylinders... I bought a megan header with just one O2 and got a second bung welded in for $30 at a muffler shop.

dc sports makes a usdm header, its for obd1, there is no obd0 usdm b16a's... Thats why... The b16a header is a 94 delsolvtec/ 99 civic si vtec header. Obd compliant, heated 4 wire o2.

so basically i have to block off the bung and get two put in where the o2 sensors would go on the stock manifold? no way to just run one

what ecu are you running? I was also wonder if it is a must to hook up the knock sensor on the pw0 ecu. i heard that the ecu does not really look for it. i will if i have to i just dont have the clip for it.

well its a saftey measure that I would recomend, because what if your engine starts knocking and you are trying to rev it all the way out? potential damage, and its there to tell vtec to not work, and should make your rev limit 7k... and it will throw an error code if its not pluged in to a stock, untouched ecu.

about the 2nd o2, I have heard of not having problems if one is not hooked up, but I didn't try it myself. its another one of those funtions that was designed to make vtec and stuff work optimally, and theres a reason why there are two, so it would also be recomended to use both.
