i was just wondering if anyone on here ever painted or anodized the top of their tial wastegate, i have been looking for a different color top and can't find anywhere that just sells the tops, so if any of you have painted or anodized it I would like to see how it came out, and how it held up to the heat

i know they make black top and bottom pieces they are either 50-70 a piece and i dont really know if you can paint it - i have one that is all F****d up that i can try it on if you want

 

As long as the piece is aluminum and not stainless steel, you should have no problem anodizing it. Anodizing would be a better option but high temp paint would work also. Im no expert on anodizing but from what i understand they use electricity to bond the color to the metal but its only on aluminum.

 

thanks for the input, the high temp is my main concern, i spray a gun all day long, just never on high temp areas and never really learned much about anodizing ini terms of how it holds up to heat.
