Anyone have any tips on doing this, I need to modify one of my headlight sets for my drag car. I'll tell you ahead of time that glass breaks very easily.

haha you are right about the glass breaking easily. after thoroughly chipping one headlight up, i got the other one apart very easily.

i baked the headlight in the oven at 225 degrees for about 10 minutes, turning it over after 5 minutes. to get the clips off, all you have to do is take a flathead and push/punch the clips down the tapered edge that they are slid up on. DO NOT TRY TO PRY THEM OFF. thats how i messed up the first headlight.

after the clips are all off, i went around the edge of the headlight with a flathead to scrape off any sealant on the edges. then i went around prying very slightly. soon enough, you can pry it enough to wedge one flathead in. using another flathead, i went around and spread the glass off the headlight. be very careful prying, the glass will chip very easily....i know. haha.

but thats it, 1-2-3. im about to clean off the residue sealant, then clean the inside of the glass right now. hope this helps.

i used a heat gun and did one side at a time sorta thing, removed the clips first with a flat screwdriver. then carefully pry the glass away from the plastic with a flathead. i found the best spot to start prying is the corners of the lights cuz the plastic seems to be thicker there. then slowly work your way from on side to the other.
