How can i tell if a DX has been converted to MPFI?
uh... well, the intake mani should say mpfi... and there will be a heat sink in the driver side corner near the firewall. DXs have this intake thingy that looks like a carburator.
if it has been converted you really won't be able to tell. the conversion means you take the intake manifold from an si and put it on there. you will have to check the wiring, or simply check the block id #. the dx is a d15 and the si is a d16.
i'm gonna go look at a rex tomarrow... i talked to him on the phone and he said "japanese single cam engine... the one they had in japan" i asked if it was a ZC and he said "no, its a single cam japanese engine"
i have all the motor codes printed out and i'll see exactly what it is..

well i took a look at it.. it was pretty good. It ran perfect, lowered, fairly new paintjob(reall crappy) and it was a D15B-something... i was gonna take some pics but the guy got kinda nervous when i took out my camara.. plus he had me meet him at a gas station... I would have bought it, but it was still registered to his sister or some chit like that so we decided to leave.
oh yeah in big black letters, it was still Dual Point.
My search for a CRX continues..
