are these things worth it? do they really help with traction(under boost),or is it mainly just for wheel hop? i tried searching,but the search is down and i wanted to know soon.thanks

yes, well designed traction bars will help you gain additional traction. you must also consider your wheel/tire setup, suspension setup, and for FI cars...a multistage boost controller/traction control helps too
