Default Catback, Weld or Replace?l

I was driving back from school yesterday and all of the sudden, the car is louder than a freaking jet. I thought my tire blew, so i pulled over and checked everything over. Turns out that my pipe rusted out. It rusted out after the catalytic converter, the flange that mates it agains the converter is still there but the pipe totally came off. so now the question is, should i just replace the whole catback or get it welded? Its gotta be done TODAY, since i'm going back up to college tommorow ...ahhh

I would weld it if you have the equipment. IT would be a LOT cheaper then replacing the pipe. That pipe for my car STOCK was like 100 I think, so I was like expletive that grinded the rust off and wire welded it all back toghter. Been working fine ever since. If its done right it will hold up just as well as before and be as good as a new piece or better.

well heres the situation, i have to get back to school tommorow and no parts will be available to me in this short time. so i came up with a plan to use a universal flange and some couplers to use as a temp so i can drive the car back to school. I need to know the inside and outside diameter of the pipe for the catback and any flange information. please help i'm in a bind.

the car is a 94 del sol S

I'd replace it. If it's rusting through in one spot, it could open up somewhere else in a month.
