96 accord ex - possible throttle issues?
I'm posting this for a friend, but I will try to be as specific as possible.
96 accord ex
manual
160,000 miles maintained.
Driven by an mid age female.
Lately, when she goes to change gears from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th as well but not as often. When she takes her foot off the gas and presses the clutch pedal, the engine revs up to about 5000 rpms.
Any ideas what I can look at first for her?

Throttle-body sticking, IAcM (Idle Air control Motor) slow to respond. Kinked or binding throttle cable.
With the car in neutral (Parking Brake set, crack the throttle by hand at the Throttle body. (you're illuminating the cable from the equation by doing it there).
If it returns to idle properly, you've got a cable issue. If it doesn't, think dirty IAcM or a binding throttle-body.
