does the type R steering rack have quicker ratios?
All Integras from 94-01 have the same ratio. What was different from the type R power steering from a GSR, LS, GS, and RS was the amount of power assist. I had a 96 LS and a 2000 ITR and compared the two. Same turns lock to lock! I've even purchased a few steering racks from wrecked type R's to turn into manual racks, and when I pulled them apart...same ol Integra rack.
That gives me an idea...ITR racks for sale, cheap!
Its like that with R/GSR oil pumps, different spring shim. It'd make sense that they'd just reduce assist. Our old 94 formula had heavy power steering, but it was a very quick ratio, and you could really feel the road, where as my mom's '02 ws6 has MUCH more assist (Firechicken used as apple-to-apple compairison). That and bigger tires no doubt make the difference for typeR steering.
