Default front speaker removal

Just bought a 1993 Accord as a daily driver. Installed a new stereo and Wham! Front speakers are blown. What is the correct way to remove them. Sorry if a repeat question the search engine was down. Thanks in advance.

Remove interior door panel. remove speaker. Put in new speaker, replace door panel.

Now drive around and blast your music until you blow your other speakers.

I believe they are 6.5 inch speakers from what other people have told me.

Like Obsidian said, you have to remove the interior door panel. Ive never done it before on the fourth gen, but its probably just as much of a pain in the *** as it was on my 95. You will probably have to pop off a few plastic covers using a screw driver, and unscrew the screws under them. Then you will need to pry the door panel off bit by bit.

Good luck, maybe someone will have some more third gen specific info than i did.

Yes, they are aftermarket and should have no problem handling the power. Iwas curious if removing the door panel was the only way to get to the front speakers.

i meant if you underpower aftermarket speakers, that will ruin them faster then overpowering them. depending on their rms, you might want to get a cheap amp to power them instead

You may be able to only pop some of the door panel off but it will make you life a lot easier to just take the whole panel off. Also if they are stock speakers they will most likely have clips on them and you will have to rewire.
